Atelier Versace Haute Couture Spring 2013

by gimmegoodstyle

Atelier Versace has been a top brand when it comes to red carpet looks. But, not so strong at tailoring or day dress. Well, time to make a change.

This season, Versace take tailoring suits, gold embellishments, short-day dresses to a different level. The effort wasn’t bad. It was great to see finally Versace does something new and exciting.

The dresses look really young with sexy neon colors and cutting -somehow, remind me of Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. But, the suits or suit-inspired dresses aren’t as good as I thought they would be.

The 24 carats golds detailing look a bit too much and out of place for me. In fact, most of those suits look like office’s outfits with gold  handcuffs and zippers.

Hmm, I don’t think I can channel well with Versace’s spirit. The show looks too crowded somehow, not elegant and calm like Dior. But, well, most of the dresses still prove why Donatella becomes Versace’s designer.

Sexy, fabulous and… commercial. Just work a bit more on the suits and tailoring, there are so much spaces to grow and evolve for next season !
