Jason Wu Fall 2013

by gimmegoodstyle

People are talking about Jason Wu since the Inauguration and he deserves the attention, but it’s show time and he has to, once again, prove himself worthy of the praises.

And he does !

The show looks monotone in the first looks, but it becomes more and more interesting after the dresses come out and starting to show the colors. Red, black, graphite and grey come in perfect harmony. The models look really strong and confident, the perfect category for American women and the classic themes Wu always use.

And he puts a sweet surprise in the end, a similar (with a bit retouches) gown Michelle Obama wore at the Inauguration. Yeah, we get the message Wu.

There is something I really like from Wu’s collection. Somehow, he is able to send a message ‘women are strong and confident’ in his every single collection and still able to make them look beautiful and different, not old and boring. He is like the new Michael Kors, simple but impeccable, with Oscar de la Renta’s spirit about women. He is totally the big thing.
