Yesaya Ferdinand’s Way
For you who haven’t forget about the ‘Little Project’ thing (you can see the complete talk here), this is an article, more like a short post, about Fall 2013 trend written by my cool friend Yesaya Ferdinand, who is preparing for his new blog launch and, let me tell you, he is a hell of a writer. And I will be very happy if you check his blog and support him.
One more thing; for you who wants to give your writing to me just check the Contact Me page and send your writing via email. I will be very happy to read and publish it on my blog!
FALL 2013 Trend Report
Here are the current trends that showed on fall 2013 runways:
Thanks to Costume Institute’s next month PUNK theme exhibition, designers had gone wild with this subculture. Chanel, Saint Laurent, Versace, Givenchy, even Mcqueen (in their own rendition, with S&M clothing mixed with Catholicism and substituting studs with pearls). Anything spikes, leather, tartan, chains is expected to be a big trend on streets next season.
This is how designers welcomed fall. Enormous, sort of cocoon-shaped coats are scattered on the runway. From Victoria Beckham to Michael Kors, from Chanel to Stella McCartney, you can see many big coats in shades of a rainbow.
The 40’s silhouette has found the way to sneak in once again. Not only Dior, but Prada, Jonathan Saunders, and Chloe also channel this mid-century line.
