I am so tired these past few days. No kidding! This semester is not a mess, it’s a chaos created by Indonesia’s national education system (need I say more? BORING!) What can I say? I am just following the tides. However, I do have some little time to sneak behind text-books and college applications to write this post and make another (please, roll your eyes ladies and gentlemen!) Tumblr blog.

Hmm… I am not even sure, if it’s a blog or not. More like a bigger version of Instagram and smaller, simpler version of WordPress (or Blogspot).

Whatever it is, I honestly think I will spend most of my free time there, due to WordPress’s limited memories, different contents and other small inconvenient things (like how lazy I am to write about another street style trend and do another the-next-big-thing research). I am not leaving this blog, just splitting my limited times and energy into a lot of different… social medias.

Gosh, am I addicted?

Anyway, just like what Ellen DeGeneres always say… see you and be kind to each other! Have a nice weekend… Ah, right, today’s still Thursday in some countries ehehehe….

Ah yes, you want to know what my new Tumblr’s name is? Peppermint Swing

I got the idea from Coldplay’s Strawberry Swing (very relaxing and helpful during these past few hell-weeks) and decided to do a little twist with the name… So, you got Peppermint Swing! It’s more into visual than texts, so wish me luck… and hey, drop by sometimes! We’ll swing together, cause’ without you it’s a waste of time

I am single. You are single.

Why don’t we make a date?

Eating ice cream and laugh like,

two foolish teenagers we always want to be.

Nostalgic Item No.4

IMG_6536

It’s been awhile since I posted the last Nostalgic Item Series. Correct me if I am wrong, but Nostalgic Item No.3 is my grandmother’s medical oil, right?

Ugh, I remember the smell just by writing about it.

Stop. Move on to more exciting subject.

When I was in West Kalimantan, I bought something quite simple yet reminds me of long summer nights with nothing to eat. I remember buying tons of cookies just to keep myself full (yes, I know I shouldn’t eat cookies at midnight just because I am starving.)

I didn’t eat all of them (my sister used to be a thief so…), but I still remember the taste.

Sweet, crunchy, instant.. and fulfilling.

It’s been a very long time since the last time I updated this Tumblr with original photo. Well, there’s a lot going on and I can’t wait to tell the story. With pictures.

Just pictures…

How Good Are Your Eyes?

IMG_6147

National Geographic is my guilty pleasure. Sometimes I even skip buying Vogue US (traitor!) to buy one or two National Geographic magazines. It just feels really cool to actually read (not skip) something more scientific (makes me feel smarter than usual) and less… expensive than high fashion. Let’s not play who-is-your-favorite here. I love both nature and fashion in equal ways.

Anyway, I come here not to talk about how I equally love fashion and science, but I want to tell you NatGeo is holding a competition to celebrate their 125th anniversary. Wow, 125 years of adventure and scientific articles about earth and it’s exotic places, this magazine has been around for ages!

Okay, the assignment (or competition) is to capture how the world is changing around you. It can be your furnitures, it can be your garden, or it can be the melting geysers of North Pole, if you want to go all the way (if I were you, I won’t be able to capture anything in North Pole or whatever Pole. TOOOO COOOLLLDDDD). Ah, the winner will be NatGeo’s guests in Santa Fe, New Mexico, attending fun workshop about photography, etc etc for 5 days.

Sounds like real fun, right?

P.S: the curators are senior photo editor from NatGeo magazine, Sadie Quarrier, and acclaimed photographer, Cory Richards. Better go post your picture quick (the due date is 22nd October 2013 to post your photo and 29th October to vote others’) because I can sense the competition heating up. HOT!

The Body Shop Thing

beauty

There is this silly jock who tells everyone I know that man doesn’t wear any beauty products. What a fool! If man never wears anything related to beauty, how can The Body Shop come up with tons of new beauty products for men?! It’s not just business man.

Anyway, let’s not talk about jocks today, let’s talk about… my dry skin and this Olive Body Lotion which has been helping me since… forever! My skins become more human (okay, more editorial-like) and smell really good.

Love this product!
